We realized the need for this service when we had unwanted jewelry that we wanted to sell.  We took it to several local places and went online but we found out that all of the places had the same problem.  They were all buying it to resell it to refineries who melt it down and sell it to jewelers.  Everybody in this chain gets their cut.   We started Golden Leprechaun in order to address this issue and offer people a fair and direct alternative.  Our unique business model allows us to resell some of the jewelry that is in good condition at much higher prices and melt the rest of it that is non-usable in-house as gold bars.  The gold bars that we produce are sold directly to investors at slightly above market value.    This cuts out the middle man and allows us to pay higher.  Unlike our competitors, we proudly publish our prices in the standard pennyweight which is 1/20th of an oz.
